UNITED STATES - Canadian Ryan Reynolds and US actor Jeff Bridges hosted a special screening of their new supernatural police thriller R.I.P.D. last Sunday for the first responders of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The local police, firefighters and officers who worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus during the tragic April 13 atrocity came together for the event.
Reynolds, 36, and Bridges, 63, mingled with their guests and posed for photos with them.
Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Daniel Linskey told the Boston Globe that the event was "a chance to relax, especially after everything everyone's been through in the past few months".
