KUALA LUMPUR - It was a sold-out show by American singing superstar Taylor Swift at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Performing for the first time here, she had the 7,500-strong crowd singing and dancing along last night to her hits, such as I Knew You Were Trouble and You Belong With Me.

Swift, 24, was in town as part of the Asian leg of The Red tour, which supports her fourth studio album Red.

The other stops included China, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Backed by a six-piece band, she gave a rousing show that got her fans, who were mostly clad in various shades of red, screaming and cheering throughout the 90-minute set.

The seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer rose to fame in 2008 when Love Story, the lead single from her second album Fearless became a worldwide pop crossover success.

The lead sponsor for Swift's show in Kuala Lumpur is AIA.
