Tracy Lee describes his passing as "a movie plot twist".

Now, in another dramatic moment, a bouquet of flowers has arrived for Tracy on Valentine's Day from late husband Ben Goi.

It turned out that Ben had arranged the surprise with a friend "Derek" whose wife is in the floral business during a Bali trip.

Tracy shared the touching gesture on Instagram and Facebook, accompanied by a 520-character Chinese caption.

In it, the Malaysian former actress expresses her gratitude for the "comfort" his surprise brought.

"Although your wife doesn't need surprises, you would make her smile in your own way. In fact, I love you because you're practical."

The son of "Popiah King" Sam Goi, Ben died on Feb 3 from a brain haemorrhage due to a stroke. He was 43.

In her post, Tracy recalls how Valentine's Day had slipped her mind last year.

The 33-year-old added, "This year, I won't be celebrating it too. But there's an added comfort, knowing you miss us, knowing you didn't mean to abandon me and our child, knowing you can't bear to, knowing you're not in pain anymore, knowing you tried your best."

The understandably emotional Tracy also recounted their "short-lived" romance.

"Around you, I could be myself. I could laugh loudly for no reason. Although some people didn't believe in us and gossiped about us, I know I found and married someone who accepted me for who I am."

She continued, "This movie's leading lady is no longer the object of envy. The man who loved her is gone. I only wish for one more hug in silence."

Tracy finished with hashtags such as #HappyValentinesDay, #youliveinmyheart and #nevergone.

She had made a similar tribute on Feb 7 after he was cremated.

They were in Kuala Lumpur visiting Tracy's family when the stroke struck.

His funeral over Chinese New Year saw the likes of ministers Heng Swee Keat, Vivian Balakrishnan, Masagos Zulkifli and Josephine Teo attend, as well as celebrities Terence Cao, Chew Chor Meng and Zhu Houren.

Ben's father Sam is Singapore's 14th richest man according to Forbes, with an estimated fortune of US$1.8 billion (S$2.5 billion).
