Trailer talk: Lovelace

Trailer talk: Lovelace

Amanda Seyfried's girl-next-door persona will go out of the window after you watch this trailer.

She plays Linda Susan Boreman, more famously known as Linda Lovelace, in this biopic about the late US porn star.

The movie follows how Lovelace went from a naive girl from a working-class family in the Bronx to become the world's most famous porn star after appearing in the notorious 1972 blue movie Deep Throat.

The trailer is pretty tasteful and oft-times funny, considering the topic.

Of course, it being a movie about the porn industry, there are some salacious moments, but nothing that will get you all hot and bothered.

Lovelace paints a bigger picture of abuse, both physical and sexual.

The protagonist suffered at the hands of her husband-turned-pimp Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), who used all means possible to persuade her to comply with his demands, including a gun to her head.

The movie, opening here on Oct 10, also stars Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Chris Noth, Hank Azaria and Adam Brody.
