Afraid to find a date online? Try Love Out Loud Asia or Lola which helps you identify suitable singles.
The site requires a Facebook sign-in with a minimum number of 50 friends to prevent users with ill intentions from creating fake profiles, said Lola's media release yesterday.
New registrants will have to pass another check: Their Facebook status must reflect their singlehood or they will be denied access.
Co-founder Kenneth Lim said that over the years, online dating has built itself a really bad name.
"With Lola, we aim to solve the many pain-points of online dating - that is, lack of privacy, superficial interactions and, most importantly, meeting creeps."
Singles are matched based on their date ideas such as canoeing or movie watching.
The site also gives users more privacy by sending only one quality match a day, and limiting their users' profile exposure by adopting a "no-browsing" policy.
Lola can be used on iOS and Android-based phones.
