F&N announces appointments of new CEOs for beer and food business

SINGAPORE - Local conglomerate Fraser and Neave (F&N) has announced the appointments of two new chief executives to oversee the food and beverage giant's beer and food businesses.

In a statement on Wednesday (Sept 21), F&N revealed that Me Edmond Neo, 51, has been appointed as the company's chief executive officer (CEO), beer, to drive the strategic growth of its beer business.

Mr Edmond Neo was previously F&N's regional brand development general manager, and will succeed Mr Prapakon Thongtheppairot.

Meanwhile, Mr Bennett Neo, 47, will join F&N as CEO for food, a newly created position responsible for building and implementing strategies for the company's food business.

Mr Bennett Neo was the CEO of the YCH Group before joining F&N.

The two appointments will take effect from Oct 1, 2016.

Mr Koh Poh Tiong, chairman of the F&N board executive committee, said that both Mr Edmond Neo and Mr Bennett Neo possessed extensive knowledge of the fast-moving consumer goods industry, and has operational experience in multiple leadership roles.

"Given their proven track record, we are confident tha tthey will build upon F&N's strengths to realise the group's vision of becoming a stable and sustainble food and beverage leader in ASEAN," he added.
