With the hype over affordable omakase at Teppei restaurant at Orchid Hotel, another place to check out is Chotto Matte (Japanese for "please wait a moment"). Here, omakase sets start at $100 a person, featuring the chef's choice of sushi and other dishes.
A la carte menu highlights include aburi salmon maki (torched salmon roll, $19), wagyu and foie gras fried rice ($18) and Salmon Yuzu Mayo Yaki (grilled salmon with yuzu mayonnaise, $25).
