Barbecue by the beach at Singapore Food Festival 2014

SINGAPORE - Dine on good food while enjoying a beautiful sunset at Sentosa's BBQ by the Beach, the first ever sand dining concept to be held in Singapore.

Part of the Singapore Food Festival 2014, the dinner affair will allow diners to immerse themselves in the environment, with specially sand sculpted tables and seats created by renowned local sand sculptor Jooheng Tan.

Held over four days on July 11, 12, 18 and 19 on the fine sands of Palawan Beach, Sentosa, foodies can feast on a good variety of succulent barbequed seafood and meats grilled with a traditional Hawaiian underground barbecue pit known as the 'Imu'. The buffet dinner will also feature a selection of popular local staples and desserts.

Must-try dishes include the barbeque Sambal Chili Stingray, Baked King Prawn with spices wrapped in banana leaf, Grilled Beef Rump and Barbecue Whole Lamb. During dinner, diners can also savour the delicious cuisine on offer whilst enjoying great music, entertainment and heart-thumping fire performances.

"Sentosa's BBQ by the Beach is created with a complete dining experience in mind. Barbecue is a familiar concept in Singapore, and we gave it a fresh spin by bringing together a sumptuous feast and immersive sand dining sets right on the beach where you can also catch the perfect sunset," said Franco Goh, Manager, Island Business Sales, Sentosa Leisure Management.

Tickets for the event are priced at $79-$99 for adults and $29-$39 for children aged six to ten. Children five and below dine for free. The prices include island admission, and each table can seat up to six.
