Fat people can't stop thinking about food

Food craving to an overweight person may be the same as drugs to an addict, scientists found.

Recent studies into the brains of these people even suggested that methods of treatment should be approached in the same way as in cases of alcohol or drug addiction.

To test this, researchers from the University of Granada, Spain, and Monash University in Australia looked for functional connectivity differences in brain reward systems of 39 obese and 42 normal-weight individuals when a buffet-style spread of food was presented to them.
