Say hello to the ice cream of champions - Japan's famous gold leaf-wrapped soft serve has landed in Singapore, and everyone's waiting in line to indulge…and Instagram.

Because honestly, what's a more Like-worthy #FoodPorn subject than a glistening golden ice cream cone that tastes as good as it looks?

This luxurious dessert originally hails from Kyoto, at a place called Kinkakuji known for the World Heritage-listed, Golden Pavilion temple - it's floors are besieged with 105 pounds of gold leaf, the handiwork of the nearby city of Kanazawa, Japan's capital of gold leaf and a UNESCO Creative City.

The Singapore editions are taking the experience to the next level, however, beyond the well-loved classic vanilla flavour, with gourmet options like Sea Salt Caramel and Purple Potato.

But of course, the rich, luscious ice cream recipe still remains made with 100 per cent Hokkaido milk.

As for the flavour of gold? You'll have to try it yourself.

Just keep an eye on the tiny flecks of gold…though glittery lips are totally on trend so it's a win-win situation.
