More self-collection points for NTUC FairPrice's online service

SINGAPORE - Supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice will increase the locations for collection of groceries for its FairPrice Online Click&Collect service from Jan 1, 2015.

According to a statement from FairPrice, this is in response to growing demand for the online shopping service, which saw a month-on-month increase of 10 per cent in orders.

With the new locations, which includes outlets at Changi Business Park, Thomson Plaza and 100AM mall, shoppers can now collect their groceries from a total of 22 collection points located island-wide.

To encourage greater utilisation of the service and also to thank existing Click&Collect customers for their support, FairPrice Online will waive the fees for the service throughout the month of January 2015.

Click&Collect is normally available at a fee of $3 - lower than the home delivery fee of $7 charged for purchases $60 and above.

Ms Tan Huey Ling, Deputy General Manager (FairPrice Online), NTUC FairPrice, said, "FairPrice Online constantly adapts to the evolving needs and changing lifestyles of our customers.

"Following the launch of Click&Collect earlier this year, we have now expanded our collection points to provide greater accessibility to time-stretched customers who enjoy the convenience of shopping online and prefer to self-collect their orders.

"We are encouraged by the take-up rate in the past four months and expect more of our customers to use Click&Collect as shoppers become more receptive to this delivery service."
