Into its fifth year, the annual Awards recognises fine-dining restaurants that deliver superb experiences. A total of 39 honours was handed out at the Awards Party held today at the Pan Pacific Orchard Singapore.
An external panel comprising ambassadors and head honchos who went incognito critiqued the restaurants. They came from a shortlist compiled by veteran food critics such as The Straits Times' Tan Hsueh Yun and Wong Ah Yoke and Lianhe Zaobao's Dr Ng King Kang.
Restaurant Andre emerged as Restaurant of the Year for the second year, with its fierce dedication to providing the best service and using the freshest ingredients. Other key awards included the Best Dinner Experience won by Jaan (Western) and Shinji by Kanesaka (Asian), as well as the Best New Restaurant Award which went to Bacchanalia (Western) and Hashida Sushi (Asian).
