SINGAPORE - On-demand premium food delivery service Deliveroo has bounded into Singapore, with a focus on delivering from independent and high-quality chain restaurants, all within a span of 32 minutes.
Launched last November, the newest food delivery provider on the block has partnered with more than 300 restaurants in Singapore.
These include some of the newest and most well-loved establishments such as Meat Liquor, Potato Head Folk, Cedele, and PS Cafe - premium restaurants you would not think could deliver right to your door-step, said Mr Tristan Torres, General Manager of Deliveroo Singapore.
Even sushi and ice cream are no obstacle for the 'roo riders.
Our order of sushi from Kinki, truffle fries and ice cream from PS Cafe during a presentation at the company's Tanjong Pagar office came perfectly packaged and arrived in impeccable condition, just like it would at the restaurant. The fries managed to retain its crispiness, too.
But depending on traffic, orders may take up to 40 minutes to arrive.
Available online as well as on the iPhone app, Deliveroo charges a flat fee of $3 with a minimum order of $25.
It currently services customers in 11 zones across Singapore, mainly in the Central Business District, Katong, Bukit Merah, Novena, Bukit Timah, Queenstown, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Serangoon, Bedok, and Kallang areas.
But according to Mr Torres, they are currently still expanding their network of restaurants.
