Rice bowls with a Korean-Japanese twist

SINGAPORE - For rice bowls with a Korean-Japanese twist, Omoomodon at The Star Vista allows you to customise your own don (from $8) by choosing a base, protein, garnish and sauce.

Customers can also pick from the selection of signature don. Options include Dear Ebi ($9.50, photo 5), with prawns coated and fried in breadcrumbs on kimchi omelette and Korean pearl rice; Moo-gogi ($10), with bulgogi, Korean white rice, onsen egg and tobiko; I Love Eeul ($15), grilled unagi with Korean rice and Korean barbecue sauce; Tank You Salmon ($12), with Korean glass noodles; and Kim Chick ($10), with chicken karaage, kimchi omelette, soba and kimchi soup.

Add side dishes such as fried dumplings, croquette and spicy tofu.

Omoomodon is the sister outlet of the Seoul Yummy chain of casual Korean eateries. The latest Seoul Yummy branch opened earlier this month at Junction 8.
