Ever wanted to drink beer in an authentic Japanese beer garden? Kirin Ichiban is giving Malaysians the chance to do just that, with the first ever Kirin Ichiban Beer Garden happening from Oct 1 to 10, at The Square, Publika, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur.
There, beer lovers can choose between two forms of Kirin Ichiban beer - Kirin Ichiban Draught, and the famous Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer.
Kirin Ichiban is a beer developed by Kirin Brewery, a Japanese brewer with over 100 years of history. It is made from 100 per cent malt, hops and water, and uses an innovative "First Press" brewing method that extracts the malt liquid only from the purest, most flavourful portion first press of the wort.
The Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer is made with a patented machine that creates a frozen foam head that has the texture of a smoothie. Sitting on top of the ice-cold beer like a lid, the frozen foam can actually maintain the cold temperature of the beer for up to half an hour.
Visitors to the beer garden will be able to try their hand at pouring their own Kirin Ichiban Draught, or making their own Frozen Beer.
The idea behind the beer garden originated from Tokyo. "We wanted to bring the Kirin Ichiban experience to Malaysia, without compromising its Japanese touch and authenticity," said James Kim, Innovation Manager of Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB).
