Footballer Ikhsan Fandi injured his arm

SINGAPORE - FOOTBALLER Ikhsan Fandi injured his arm in the Cubs' 2-0 loss to Kuwait at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, China, on Thursday.

The 14-year-old, son of Singapore legend Fandi Ahmad, fell after a challenge and was substituted by Hiraide Mako Chia in the 64th minute, said Singapore team manager Stephen Ng.

He was attended to by a Team Singapore doctor and subsequently taken to hospital for further checks.

Further updates were not available at press time, and it is not clear if he will be available for Singapore's final Group B game against South Korea tomorrow.
