SINGAPORE - The Tessarina in Bukit Timah was the top choice nationwide for Web users on STProperty's site from Aug 5 to 11.

The freehold project is located near Methodist Girls' School, and lies between two upcoming Downtown MRT Line stations - King Albert Park and Sixth Avenue.

The 443-unit Tessarina offers apartments with two, three or more bedrooms.

It is not only popular - it is also among the more pricey projects on offer. It had the highest average asking price - $1,680 per sq ft (psf) - of the 10 developments with the most number of page views.

Singapore's western half featured two other popular projects: the Caspian in Lakeside, which ranked fifth by page view, followed by Hundred Trees along West Coast Drive in sixth place.

Both projects had average asking prices that crossed the $1,000 psf mark.

Caspian's 99-year leasehold development, which has units with one, two, three or more bedrooms, averaged $1,242 psf.

The 396-unit Hundred Trees project has a leasehold of 956 years, and an average asking price of $1,446 psf for a similar range of unit sizes.

Five of the projects among the top 10 were in the eastern half of Singapore with 99-year tenures.

Among the five, the Waterbank at Dakota took the lead in terms of page views and had the highest average asking price of $1,631 psf last week.

The 616-unit development near the Dakota MRT station on the Circle Line offers a choice of one, two, three or more bedrooms.

The other four projects in the eastern half of the island were executive condominium Ecopolitan, The Minton, NV Residences and Double Bay Residences.

The remaining two properties in the top 10 were farther north, with 99-year leaseholds - The Estuary in Yishun and executive condo La Casa in Woodlands. They were ranked seventh and ninth respectively.

The Estuary had an average asking price of $1,139 psf for its units, which come with one, two, three or more bedrooms, while La Casa's units, with two, three or more bedrooms, were going for $831 psf.
