Game review: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Game review: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Monster hunter Geralt of Rivia will make his final bow in the third Witcher game. Drawn from a series of fantasy novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, the Witcher series has grown in stature in the action role-playing genre with each instalment.

The first game was a cult hit, but The Witcher 2 was both a critical and commercial success.

The Witcher 3 is arguably a triple-A game with top production values, including a new game engine designed for vast open world environments.

As Geralt, players have to make grey moral choices.

Some decisions will have consequences later in the game and even change the world.

According to the developer, depending on their actions, players will get to experience one out of a possible 36 different "world states" by the end of the game.

Available later this year

Genre: Action adventure
