Go on a walking trail

The Korea Tourism Organisation has recently selected 10 walking trails in the country.

These trails boast scenic views and plenty of spring sunshine, making them ideal for hiking enthusiasts.

The list comprises two trails in Jeollabuk-do, two in Jeollanam-do, two in Seoul, and one each in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do and Gangwon-do.

There are three types of courses: easy, normal and metropolitan area courses.

In particular, Singaporeans may enjoy the metropolitan area courses, which mostly cover the roads within the city and suburban areas such as Haesol-gil 1 in Daebudo Island, Dream Forest in Seoul's Gangbuk-gu district, and Namsan Mountain Nadeul-gil in Seoul Forest.

Daebudo (https://www.iansan.net) was an island before it became a part of the mainland with the construction of Sihwa Embankment. The road to Daebudo, which connects many islands, offers a unique drive. The shores of Daebudo are full of clams, sea snails, goby, flounder and black rockfish.

Dream Forest (https://dreamforest.seoul.go.kr/) is located at Bun-dong, Gangbukgu Seoul. It is the first large-scale green park in the Gangbuk area.

Seoul Forest (https://parks.seoul.go.kr/eng/) consists of five parks spread over about 1.16 million sq m of land and is an eco-friendly zone. Previously, the forest was a royal hunting ground and served as a military inspection facility.
