1 out of every 3 Koreans infected with Middle East respiratory syndrome did not have any pre-existing medical condition, according a report by the Korea Society of Infectious Diseases.

The KSID analysed the first 98 people who caught the virus and found that 36 did not have any medical condition at the time of the infection.

The other 62 had been suffering from various conditions such as hypertension, cancer and heart-related illnesses.

The most common early symptoms MERS patients experienced were fever, cough, and migraine.
