SINGAPORE - Public Garden has decided to go ahead with a flea market scheduled to be held this weekend and will be selling surgical face masks at cost price at the event.
The flea market organiser said that one of their regular vendors works in the pharmaceutical industry and was able to provide them with 30 boxes of three-ply face masks at the price of $0.20 per piece.
Hence, the organisers have decided to sell the masks at the same cost price at the flea market. They have 1,500 masks and will be selling them till stocks last.
The flea market will be held at Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe from 1pm to 9.30pm on June 22 to June 23, 2013. The event is indoors with air-conditioning.
"Please note that it will be while stocks last and we hope this will benefit families with the elderly, the ill and young children. We hope Singaporeans and Singapore-based residents will purchase what you need with us tomorrow, so that there will be enough to go around for everyone," the organisers said.
