SINGAPORE - The biggest annual health exhibition here - which has been garnering a growing following - will be back for its ninth year.

Health & You draws more than 100,000 visitors every year and is expected to attract a similar number this year.

The proportion of repeat visitors has been rising, from 38 per cent in 2009 to 56 per cent last year.

Last year, half of the visitors stayed at the exhibition for more than an hour.

The number of exhibitors has also been increasing. It jumped by about 60 per cent, from 51 in its first year in 2005 to 82 last year.

The exhibition is organised by The Straits Times' weekly health magazine Mind Your Body and Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao's health section Lohas.

This year, insurance company AIA Singapore, which offers health insurance, will be the presenter - the exhibitor with the largest presence at the event.

The chief executive officer of AIA Singapore, Mr Tan Hak Leh, said: "Having been protecting generations of Singaporeans for more than 80 years, AIA has been in the lives of our customers, providing innovative solutions to meet their real needs for health and life protection.

"With Health & You, we aim to extend our commitment further to bring real change to our customers' lives by encouraging them to live healthily."

The event will feature health-related products, services, seminars and activities for adults and children.

It will be held on July 20 and 21, from 10am to 8pm, in Exhibition Halls 401, 402 and 403 in Suntec Singapore. Admission is free.

Those who are interested in becoming exhibitors can call 6319-2232 or 6319-1904, or e-mail mkghealthandyou@sph.com.sg by the end of this month.
