SINGAPORE - McDonald's in Singapore assured customers that it does not import or use chicken and beef from China.

A spokesman added that "food safety and quality is of utmost importance" to the fast-food chain.

Burger King Singapore and Starbucks have also said that they do not get their supplies from Shanghai Husi.
