KUALA LUMPUR - The Public Service Department (PSD) has been urged to hire frontliners who weigh below 80kg, fit and healthy to serve the public.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said frontliners should not only be dynamic and proactive, but also healthy.

"They should be healthy and capable of becoming the image of health efforts by the government," he said after meeting top PSD management officials at parliament here yesterday.

He said besides having knowledge and expertise, having a weight less than 80kg would make one fit for duty.
