SINGAPORE - General practitioner David Tan Keok Kuan was charged on eight counts for failing to exercise due care in the management of his patients, the Singapore Medical Council said yesterday.

Among other things, the doctor from Yishun Central Clinic had inappropriately prescribed Subutex and Stilnox to patients.

The action taken against Dr Tan includes a $3,000 fine and a three-month suspension.
