KUALA LUMPUR - The interesting booth set up by Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad (Great Eastern Life) at the Star Health Fair 2014 is a must stop where the whole family can have an enjoyable time and pick up tips about healthy living.
According to Great Eastern Life CEO Datuk Koh Yaw Hui (pic), each visitor to their booth would get a Live Great Journey guide book and a complimentary health check.
Next, they can proceed to the "Eat Well", "Keep Fit" and "Family Bonding" zones to discover ways for healthier eating, effective exercise techniques and simple activities for greater family bonding.
The Eat Well Zone tests visitors on how much they know about their daily calorie intake.
"There will be a Buffet Challenge - visitors choose a variety of food cards that tabulate their calorie count.
"This is to test their understanding of calories in various food and the importance of knowing their daily calorie intake," Koh said.
"The Keep Fit Zone challenges visitors to participate in simple challenges to burn calories. One of the challenges is to walk on a treadmill/cross trainer and burn 20 calories under two minutes."
The Family Bonding Zone involves mini games (mini football, mini tennis, foosball machine) to encourage families to sweat it out.
Each zone comes with giveaways and prizes to reward visitors for taking part in the challenges.
Koh said that all the activities aim to encourage visitors to start making little changes in their lives through health and wellness engagement activities.
