SINGAPORE - In a bid to nudge Singapore residents into achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight, the Health Promotion Board launched the One Million Kg Challenge on Saturday.

The nationwide initiative, which aims to incentivise and support residents to collectively lose one million kilogrammes by 2016, will promote healthy eating, exercise and healthier lifestyles. Participants will be given free health and nutrition advice, exercise videos and plans.

It is open to residents between the ages of 18 and 64 whose Body Mass Index ranges from 18.5 to 37.4. They will also get tools and trackers to stay on track online at www.millionkg.com.
