Learn sign language - on stamps

SINGAPORE - A series of stamps issued by SingPost will allow members of the public to learn how to say hi, welcome, thanks, goodbye and I love you - all without using words.

As part of efforts to increase awareness of communicating with the deaf, the "Greetings - Sign Language" stamps will feature visual representations of these five basic greetings in sign language.

The stamps were designed by Singapore Association for the Deaf member Kenny Tiang.

A pre-cancelled First Day Cover affixed with the complete set of stamps will retail at $2.

This and other related products will be available from today at all post offices and at the Singapore Philatelic Museum.

Orders can also be made on SingPost's online shopping portal vPost at https://shop.vpost.com.sg
