PHNOM PENH - Dr. Li Sovann, head of Ministry of Health's Center for Disease Control and Prevention, denied the reports that West Africa-hit Ebola virus disease has spread to countries which border with Cambodia.
He said patients in Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar were recently suspected to have infected by the deadly Ebola, but after checking and following their health for 24 hours, they were allowed to leave the hospitals.
So far there is no suspicion of Ebola case in Cambodia, he said.
To date, Ebola virus disease has claimed over 1,200 lives in West Africa.
