MOH issues alert on possible recruitment scam

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Health (MOH) has sent out an alert about a possible job scam. The scam was first brought to attention by Jurong Health Services (JurongHealth).

JurongHealth is a public healthcare cluster in Singapore.

We want to alert readers to a possible scam, where emails requesting payment for job offers in Singapore’s healthcare sector were sent to individuals in the Philippines.

Readers who receive e-mails with job offers, accompanied by requests for upfront payment, are advised to confirm the validity of the job offer with the healthcare institution involved.

Dear all, We have received queries regarding an Embassy Visa Interview Preparation in the Philippines by a ‘Jurong Medical Centre Consultancy’ firm.

Please be informed that this consultancy firm IS NOT associated with JurongHealth. We are not conducting any recruitment exercise in the Philippines, and did not send any emails to you requesting for payment.

We have reported the matter to the authorities. Thank you.
