More surgery ahead for Angelina Jolie

LOS ANGELES - Angelina Jolie is not finished with preventative surgery against cancer.

The actress, who had a double mastectomy last year after discovering she was at high risk of developing breast cancer, said she will have more such surgery.

"There's still surgery to have. I'll get advice from all these wonderful people who I've been talking to, to get through that next stage," Jolie, 38, told Entertainment Weekly for its new issue, out last Friday.

Last May, she said her doctors had estimated she had an 87 per cent risk of breast cancer and 50 per cent risk of ovarian cancer, from which her actress mother Marcheline Bertrand died at age 56 in 2007.

She also told the magazine that she could not be happier with her decision to have the mastectomy.

"I'm great... I'm very happy I made the decision," she said about the operation. "I was very fortunate to have great doctors and very, very fortunate to have a good recovery and have a project like Unbroken to have something to be really focused on, to be getting healthy for, and to be able to just get right back to work," she added, referring to the World War II drama, her next project as director.
