New non-invasive fat reduction treatment available in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Medical aesthetics device provider Solta Medical has launched in Singapore the second generation Liposonix non-invasive fat reduction system.

The system, approved for use by the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA), provides non-invasive waist circumference reduction on both the abdomen and flanks.

The liposonix system uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to permanently get rid of targeted fats around the waistline, love handles and abdomen - all without the need for surgery.

The average waistline reduction after a single one-hour treatment is about one inch, Sota Medical said. Results are usually seen after eight to 12 weeks. This is the time needed for the body to naturally remove the treated fat.

While liposonix is a safe and effective way to help patients slim down, it is not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle and exercise, the medical aesthetics company added. It is not a method to help patients lose weight, rather, it helps patients remove that last stubborn inch to create a better body shape.

Liposonix is marketed and sold worldwide. Since its introduction in the US, the system has been featured in many high profile media outlets, including broadcast programs such as Dr Oz, The Doctors, and 20/20 with Barbara Walters.
