SINGAPORE - Singapore has not imported any of the affected Fonterra brand dairy products from New Zealand, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) confirmed Monday night.
Despite that, consumers should note that Danone Dumex has voluntarily recalled two batches of its Mamil Gold Following Fonterra's PreciNutriTM Step 2 After 6 Months Follow-up Formula product, AVA said.
They are batches FGMG2RG0900TNSG2906043R1 (expiry date June 4, 2015) and FGMG2RG1600TNSG2906053R1 (expiry date June 5, 2015).
The authority says that other infant milk products in Singapore are not affected.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products should not feed it to their infants and should instead contact Danone Dumex at 1800-265-3188 or firstname.lastname@example.org for a full refund or exchange. Consumers who have already been using the affected products and who may be concerned about its effects on their infants should consult a doctor.
Fonterra recently released an alert that some batches of its whey protein concentrate may have been contaminated by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum.
