A 49-year-old "serial foot-licker" was arrested yesterday for allegedly targeting young girls between the ages of five and ten and then licking their feet.

The New York Daily News reported that Anthony Parri was caught after he took off the shoes of two children in two separate incidents and rubbed the girls' feet against his nose and mouth in Penfield Library in New York.

In one case, Parri was spotted taking off a shoe from a six-year-old girl before fondling it and then pressing it against his face.

Bernadette Brinkman, director of Penfield Library, said that one of her staff members observed an older man approach a young girl and engage in "questionable activities".

She immediately reported the matter to the rest of the staff, who then called the police.

The other incident wasn't reported until the girl told a parent when she was being driven home later in the day.

Investigators say that Parri is a suspect in several other similar cases since February, where a man went into libraries and book stores and licked the feet of young girls.

He is being charged with two counts of first-degree sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Parri was denied bail as he has two prior convictions of assault and attempted murder.

He is vehemently denying the allegations, claiming he is being "set up by the President Barack Obama and the city and the federal government."
