VS supermodels reveal secrets to looking incredible

UNITED STATES - They sizzled on stage. With the stunning range of lingerie, the supermodels made the catwalk at the Victoria's Secret annual fashion show in New York on Wednesday, showing off toned long legs, tiny waists and abundant curves.

Among them were Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio and Miranda Kerr. Apart from the fact that they all have a figure to die for, there is another common thread: they are all mothers.

Lima, 31, gave birth to her second child, a daughter, a mere eight weeks ago, Daily Mail reported. She looked justifiably proud of her body as she sashayed down the ramp.

But it wasn't an easy journey back to model form for the Brazilian who is married to Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric.

She shared her battle to get in shape on Twitter. She posted pictures of herself post-work-out, dripping with sweat exactly a month after giving birth. Doctors do not advise women to work out until six weeks after they give birth.

She certainly wasn't the only one hitting the gym.

Fellow model Aldridge gave birth to daughter Dixie five months ago, while Ambrosio welcomed her second child, son Noah, back in May.

Australian model Kerr is the proud mother of a son, Flynn. Backstage, Aldridge, 26, had to answer a lot of post-pregnancy questions, American news portal Huffington Post reported.

Priorities

The American, who is married to Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, said: "I made sure health was my priority because I'm still nursing my daughter. I ate really healthy food, organic proteins and vegetables.

"I worked out a lot - during her naps so I could still be with her. But I worked really hard and I'm really proud of what I've done. And I hope I can be a good example to other women."

Kerr, 29, who is married to Hollywood star Orlando Bloom, told MSN's Wonderwall that looking after her one-and-a-half-year-old son was a great work-out.

She said: "I used to do squats holding my son, but he's getting a little heavy now. But he was a good weight for me to use."

And he is keeping her in shape.

"Running around after my son is the best work-out. He runs around and he loves to dance, so sometimes we put the music on and we dance around and it's so much fun and that is like the best. You're having so much fun, and you're working out at the same time."

She also revealed how she got into shape for the show. She said she was consistent with her pilates, yoga and resistance training.

"But I did increase the work-out a bit more because you can't hide anything out there on the runway. This week, I trained every day," she added.

The show was every bit a spectacular and entertaining with Rihanna, teen sensation Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars serenading the models as they took to the giant catwalk. Rihanna looked every bit as seductive as the models, The Telegraph reported.

The show was split into four segments - Circus, Dangerous Liaisons, Pink is Me and Calendar Girls. Ambrosio, meanwhile, stole the show with the US$2.5 million (S$3 million) diamond encrusted Fantasy Bra.
