Worst toilets habits in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Leaving the toilet unflushed, choking it with tissue paper and flicking water everywhere after washing their hands - these are Singapore's worst toilet habits, say cleaners.

"Singaporeans are so rich, but how come the way they use toilets is so poor?" asked Madam Aminah Osman, 59, a cleaner at Sun Plaza in Sembawang.

"People leave tissue all over the place - on the sink, in the toilet bowl. It's hard to flush."

Said Mr Xu Chu Hong, 76, a cleaner at Yio Chu Kang MRT station: "Why can't they throw tissue into the bin nearby? Some don't even flush, it's disgusting."

Some men do not lift the seat cover and end up leaving urine on it, said Environmental Management Association of Singapore president Milton Ng.

"All you need is one bad user and the whole cycle of dirtying the place starts."
