Popular TV host Ellen DeGeneres has put up her famous 26-acre equestrian retreat home for sale again, The Los Angeles Times reported.

DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi reportedly spent US$8.5 million (S$10.8m) for the beautiful Malibu home in 2009.

Celebrity Real Estate said in an article that DeGeneres transformed the farmhouse into the luxurious home it now is in just one year.

The huge compound comes fully equipped with 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 8 cottages, a yoga pavilion, 2 different barns and a rustic tree house.

Equestrian facilities on the estate include 6 stables, a dressage arena, a hay barn and more.

The property was put up in 2011 for US$16.5 million but was taken off the market in less than 10 months. DeGeneres is currently asking US$12.995 million for it.

In 2011, DeGeneres and De Rossi sold their Beverly Hills home for US$37 million. The buyer was none other than fellow TV host Ryan Seacrest for $37 million.
