Johor football team money packets sell like hot cakes

JOHOR BARU - Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) football team Hari Raya money packets are the "in" thing this festive season, especially among Johoreans.

Many have snapped up the money packets, especially after the team finished third in the Malaysian Super League and reached the FA Cup final.

Grafiz Howse Creative Design and Print Solution manager Zulfakis Shah Ghapar Shah said he has sold more than 100,000 of the JDT theme packets.

"I noticed that there are other such similar Hari Raya packets being sold especially on Facebook by people but some of the designs are not as pretty or attractive.

"Then one of my workers started to draw some designs during the first week of Ramadan and we decided to try our luck and sell it.

"There are six different JDT deigns. Each four-pack money packet, containing 40 pieces is sold at RM10," he said yesterday.

Zulfakis, whose shop is located at Bandar Baru Uda here, said the most sought after JDT theme packets was the white packet.

"It looks quite vintage and simple," he said.

"It has been quite a long time since all of us have been quite excited about our own football team and hopefully it will continue in the future," he said.
