Journey through stunning Hokuriku

Be charmed by the Hokuriku region, in the north-west of Japan's main Honshu island, as you embark on a tour of discovery with Apple Vacations Singapore.

One of the highlights of the tour, which lasts seven days and five nights, is the village of Shirakawa, a Unesco World Heritage Site known for its Gassho-style - a term referring to the act of putting two palms together in prayer - buildings.

Another must-see is Kenrokuen, or the Garden of the Six Sublimities. One of Japan's most beautifully landscaped gardens, it boasts elegant water features, winsome teahouses and a wide variety of flora and fauna.

On the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the views will amaze you as you travel by train, bus or cable car to altitudes as high as 2,300m. Until June 10, you will be able to take in the 20m-high snow walls known as Yuki-no-Otani. To enjoy magnificent views of the Northern Alps, try an aerial tram ride on the Shin-Hotakaso Ropeway - Japan's first double-decker ropeway.

For those who want to rest and relax, the tour includes a visit to Gero, home to some of Japan's most popular hot springs. Known as "springs for the beautiful", they are said to be effective in relieving fatigue and improving one's complexion.
