In anticipation of the holiday season, Ancol Dreamland Jakarta is offering a new activity for children called 'Camping Under the Sea'.
Ancol's head of corporate communications Rika Lestari described the programme as an activity that combines recreation, education and conservation, as reported by Kompas.com. Children aged 6 to 12 can spend the night inside marine life exhibits at Sea World and Ocean Dream Samudera.
"The exciting event will be held for two days and one night on July 6 and 7," Rika said. "Participants only need to bring a change of clothes and medication, if any. Additionally, the event will involve student volunteers who will be accompanying the children and make the event more exciting."
For Rp 700,000 (S$67.11), participants can tour Sea World, play with penguins and dolphins, observe how Ocean Dream Samudera cares for its animals, as well as take part in a treasure hunt, barbeque and more.
Rika added that 'Camping Under the Sea' has a limited capacity of just 30 tents.
Interested readers can purchase tickets on their website.
The purchase will include an entry ticket to Ancol Dreamland Jakarta, Sea World and Ocean Dream Samudera, along with camping equipment and food that will be provided throughout the duration of the event.
Aside from 'Camping Under the Sea', Ancol has a new attraction titled 'Oggy and the Cockroaches'. It features characters from the children's television show of the same name and it will be available for viewing until July 14.
