13-year-old boy goes missing

BUKIT MERTAJAM, Malaysia - A 13-year-old boy has been missing from his home in Taman Janggus, Permatang Pauh near here, since Monday.

Central Seberang Prai deputy OCPD Supt Baharom Abu said Muhamad Amirul Wagiman left his house at 6pm on Monday and had not returned home as of Wednesday.

Supt Baharom said the mother lodged a police report after he failed to return home on Monday night, and the family members had searched for him but to no avail.

Muhamad Amirul was wearing a red T-shirt and black track pants, he added.

"The boy left home on foot and he did not carry any bags or clothing with him," said Supt Baharom.

He said according to Muhamad Amirul's mother, he left home sulking after she scolded him for quarrelling with his nephew.

"We hope he will return home soon," he added.
