KUALA LUMPUR - A section of a mall under construction in Taman Melawati collapsed on Wednesday night, injuring 15 construction workers.
The incident occurred at around 10pm when part of the building, located along Lorong Sarawak, gave way.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department said the victims were foreigners from Indonesia, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
"One Bangladeshi man was seriously hurt and he, along with five others, was sent to Ampang hospital for treatment.
"Nine more people suffered light injuries," he said.
He added that everyone else had been safely rescued from the site and that the department was assessing the area.
