BANTING - Driven by revenge and stress, a Form Five student allegedly stabbed his counselling teacher at a school in Sungai Manggis here.

The stabbing occurred in the assistant warden's room at about 8.20pm on Monday, said Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Azizan Tukiman.

The 17-year-old student entered the room to wait for the victim, he said.

"When the victim came in and was taking off his shoes, the suspect stabbed him and a struggle ensued.

“The knife was stuck in the shoulder of the victim, who was then rushed to the Banting Hospital before he was brought to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah in Klang for further treatment,” he told Sinar Harian.

Investigations revealed the motive of the attack was revenge

"The student was frustrated and stressed," he said, adding the suspect was not involved with drugs.

The teacher, Muhammad Hasnan Salim, who is in his 30s, is reported to be in stable condition after undergoing an operation.
