Boy, 6, falls from third story from school

A pre-school pupil was injured after he fell off the third storey of a school in Seremban in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan on Wednesday.

A hyperactive special needs student's playful act is believed to be the cause of a six-year-old Adam Zikri Faizul Khairy to fall, the New Straits Times reported.

Before the 1.30pm incident, the 12-year-old student at the school was seen lifting the victim and sat him on the corridor wall before Adam fell.

That led to the earlier assumption by people who were in the area that the kid was thrown off the building by the autistic boy.

Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Zaki Harun said the older boy had tried to grab the victim's hand when he lost his balance but failed.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that the autistic boy have no intention to throw off the kid but only wanted to play before the incident took place."

Fortunately, Adam did not suffer serious complications from his injuries.

His father, Mr Faizul Khairy Zulkifli, 38, said he is now in stable condition.

Said Mr Faizul Khairy: "Adam broke his left hand and right foot as well as sustained injury to his head."
