Chiang Mai bus crash: Survivor currently recovering well

BATU PAHAT: Lee Siew Kim, the only survivor Chiang Mai bus crash victim out of nine survivors who came back to Malaysia is currently recovering well.

Johor Health and Environment executive council chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat paid a visit to the 61-year-old victim at Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail here on Thursday to check on her condition.

Lee suffered from concussion as well as chest and lower right limb injuries due to the impact of the crash that occurred last Sunday when the bus carrying 22 Malaysian tourists crashed into a ravine while on its way from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai in Thailand.

Ayub said Lee's condition is now stable but she was still in trauma and could not sleep well at night.
