Cops hunt 4 more Myanmar suspects in brutal serial murders

GEORGE TOWN - Police here are hunting for four more Myanmar nationals in relation to the series of brutal murder cases involving their countrymen in the last quarter of 2014.

Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the suspects have been identified and were being traced.

"They may have left Penang but our investigations revealed that they are still in the country.

"Give us time and we'll definitely arrest them," he told a press conference at the state police contingent headquarters Monday.

Twelve other Myanmar nationals have already been arrested and nine of them will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Two will be charged under the Immigration Act while another one has been released.
