Ex-Air Force man shot in the head three times

IPOH - A former Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) personnel was shot dead near his father's restaurant in Jalan Permasuri Mazwin, Taman Rishah, Silibin on Sunday.

S. Jambukeshan, 39, was gunned down by a man wearing a full-faced helmet, who alighted from a Toyota Vios, some 30 metres from his father's restaurant at 7.15am.

He was unloading goods from his Perodua Kancil in front of a grocery shop during the incident.

The victim, who was shot at several times, succumbed to his injuries as he was taken to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here by his family members.

Jambukeshan, who left the RMAF five years ago after 19 years, was helping his father run the restaurant.

Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said the gunman fled the scene in the Toyota Vios.

"We will get closed-circuit camera footages of the incident. Four spent bullet shells were found at the scene," he told reporters at the Taman Rishah police station.
