A six-year-old boy playing beside a neighbour's damaged home was killed when a concrete wall fell on him.
Muhammad Amirul Haikal Mohd Nor died of serious head injuries at Tumpat hospital in Kelantan reported the New Straits Times.
His mother, housewife Suhaini Ibrahim, had planned to attend the birthday celebrations of Prophet Muhammad at her mother-in-law's home that day.
Instead, she had to attend the funeral of her eldest son.
The boy was playing with his four cousins near the damaged house when the concrete wall collapsed on him.
Madam Suhaini said she was feeding Amirul's younger brother, Mohammad Danish, three, at her home, 100m from the scene, when the incident happened at about 7.30pm.
She said: "Amirul, the older of the two, was playing with his cousins who had returned to the village with their parents for the celebrations, which were scheduled for the following day (Saturday).
"My husband rushed back and informed me about the incident."

Madam Suhaini, 28, said she and her husband, Mohd Nor Mahmad Wi, 37, then rushed their son to hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival due to serious head injuries
