The family of a nine-year-old boy finally tracked down the man who rescued the child from drowning in a reservoir in Chengdu, China, after searching for him for the last four years, Guang Ming Daily reported.

The daily said the family had been trying without success to locate the man to express their gratitude for saving the boy, who was five years old then.

The Good Samaritan, who was fishing near the reservoir when the incident happened, had not revealed his identity and left the scene after his life-saving act.

With the limited information the family gathered from several witnesses, they finally tracked the man down and thanked him in person on Aug 18.
