A 19-YEAR-OLD mentally-ill woman from Sibu, Sarawak is believed to have been abducted and raped by a group of illegal foreign workers over two days, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The victim is believed to have followed her 47-year-old mother to the jungle to pick wild ferns near Penasu Road at 7am last Tuesday.
It is believed that one of the suspects had hit the woman on the back of her head, causing her to lose consciousness.
"The police managed to locate the victim at a temporary tent in the jungle where she was reported missing two days earlier," said Sibu District police chief ACP Mohd Kamal Kordi.
He said the victim was semi-conscious when she was found and was sent to the general hospital for a check-up.
